About Wheel Decide — Our Story
Wheel Decide is a free browser-based spinner that turns everyday choices into a fast, fair pick. This page is the story behind the site — who built it, why we still work on it every week, and how to reach the small team that keeps it running.
How it started
Wheel Decide first went live in 2020 as a small side project — a plain page that spun a circle to settle a roommate argument about dinner. It caught on faster than we expected. Classrooms used it to pick who reads next. Coaches used it to sort teams. Streamers used it to hand giveaways to viewers. Since then we have kept building, spin after spin, to make each decision feel lighter.
Who uses the wheel today
Millions of visitors now land here every year. Some spin the wheel for fun — a truth-or-dare round, a “what should we watch” showdown, a coin-flip at the dinner table. Others use it for learning: teachers pick a student, tutors choose the next math problem, kids drill vocabulary. Planners use it to break a tie on chores, seating charts, or where to eat tonight. Whatever brings you here, the goal stays the same — an answer you can trust, in under a second.
The team
The site is built and maintained by a small team led by Akshay Bhargava, the founder and engineer behind Wheel Decide. His vision is simple: pick faster, argue less, and keep the tool useful for the next school year, party night, or team meeting. Akshay writes most of the code, chooses the default wheels, and reads every note that comes into the inbox. When something breaks, he is usually the one fixing it that same evening.
