Trust and legal pass

— September 2026

Rounded out the site with the pages every visitor eventually looks for, and cleaned the tone across every wheel.

New
  • About page. A proper story page with founder credit, mission, and a warm sign-off from the team.
  • Contact page. A short form that opens your email app pre-addressed to us, plus a direct support address for quick fixes.
  • Privacy Policy. Plain-English rewrite in twelve sections, with a cookie-categories table and a rights section for EU, UK, and California readers.
  • Terms of Use. Modern sixteen-section rewrite covering embeds, third-party services, copyright complaints, and clear governing law.
Improved
  • Plain-English sweep. Removed technical jargon from every visitor-facing page, footer, meta description, and post-spin caption in all eleven languages.
  • Cleaner navigation. Header trimmed to the two things people actually click — Wheels and Fair spin — so the site loads to action, not menus.
  • Footer overhaul. Grouped the trust bar, contact, privacy, and terms into one dense, tidy card at the bottom of every page.
Removed
  • Redundant how-it-works and FAQ pages. Every wheel page already answers those questions in its own tailored FAQ and steps, so the extras were doing nothing but adding menu weight.

Content standard and duplicate-free sweep

Every wheel page rewritten to a single, higher bar — original definitions, honest examples, and zero cross-page copy-paste.

New
  • Answer-First definitions. Each wheel page now opens with a forty-to-fifty-word plain definition — the exact snippet search engines and AI assistants pull for zero-click answers.
  • Colour-named slices. If a slice label is a colour name — Red, Blue, Cyan, Lime — it now renders in that real colour with auto-contrast text, on any theme.
  • Duplicate-content checker. A build-time script scans every page against every other and reports overlapping sentences before we publish.
Improved
  • Eighteen wheels to full standard. Six FAQs, three steps, six-to-eight scenarios, tailored default entries, and its own keyword-focused meta on every wheel page.
  • Slugs match search intent. Ten wheels renamed to match the top-searched query — for example numbers → random-number-generator-wheel and colors → color-wheel-picker — with permanent redirects from the old paths.
  • Unique fairness wording. The way we describe randomness is now reworded on every page, so no two wheels sound the same.

Full rebuild from scratch

— 2026

The old wheel-decide.com had grown slow, hard to edit, and full of duplicate copy. We threw it out and built the new one from a blank folder.

New
  • Modern stack. Rebuilt on Next.js 15 and React 19, statically exported for near-instant page loads worldwide.
  • Self-hosted fonts. Every heading and body font ships from our own server, so no request ever leaves for a third-party font service.
  • Randomness Proof page. Run ten thousand spins in your own browser and watch the results land in an even distribution — proof, not marketing.
  • Eleven languages. Live translations for English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, and Russian.
  • Installable app (PWA). Add Wheel Decide to your phone home screen and it launches like an app, offline included.
  • Share and embed. Every wheel gets a share URL and an embed snippet. Paste it into a blog, class page, or streamer overlay.
Migrated
  • Legacy .php URLs preserved. Fourty-nine permanent 301 redirects carry every meaningful old link — such as /yesorno.php, /truthordare.php, /catname.php — straight to the new page, so no bookmark or search result is left broken.
  • Consolidated look-alikes. Where two old pages targeted the same idea, we kept the stronger one and redirected the other into it.
